Baltic and Nordic cruises enjoy great popularity and market prospects
are bright.
The number of port calls as well as the dimensions of cruise liners
serving North and Baltic Europe is increasing. All German ports at the North
Sea and the Baltic Sea welcome cruise ships
and offer modern terminals and infrastructure and a great variety of services
and touristic attractions. These ports also present interesting new
perspectives in the development of the growing European cruise market. With
their strong touristic infrastructure, they may also serve as home ports for
many cruise ships sailing in the North European waters.
Quality, top-class engineering, reliability and absolute adherence to delivery
dates are the most important characteristics of the German shipbuilding
industry. German shipyards enjoy an excellent reputation for building top-class
cruise ships and ferries. Here, the yards are able to demonstrate their
technological competence and their excellent cooperation with their partners in
the German marine equipment industry. An upcoming segment in the passenger ship
market is the construction of spectacular mega yachts. The ships referred to
are outstanding proof of the great competence and technological leadership of
the German shipyards and the marine equipment and supply industry. German yards
are also particularly renowned when it comes to complex and spectacular cruise
ship conversions and lengthening.
The German equipment industry offers a full range of systems and equipment
components required for building sophisticated cruise liners, ferries with
hotel standard, as well as outstanding premium yachts. The spectrum ranges from
propulsion units to control instruments, electronic equipment, navigation
instruments, deck machinery, propellers, pumps and valves up to interior outfitting
for cabins, restaurants and lounges/public rooms.
Please feel free to visit more than 20 exhibitors at the German
Pavilion, hall B 2269, for further information.
